GM to pay workers to give up health care
An agreement between GM and the UAW would pay hourly employees with 10 years or more of service $140,000 to leave the company and give up their health care. Reportedly, those employees with less than 10 years on the job will receive $70,000.
By our calculations, this might pay for six months of health care under the Republican's "Get Sick and Die" insurance plan.
